This weekend. Friday Gabriel had the day off school. He got up early and watched the royal wedding. I was planning on getting up too but only got up in time to see them walking out of the church. There was still plenty to see though. It's funny that we weren't even interested until a few days before where I decided that it would be fun to watch the wedding. The rest of the day we went to the mall and ate at Chik Filet and then bought Gabe a bike which he rode home that day.
Saturday I spent the morning paying bills and doing banking. I spent a little time goofing off on the computer too so perhaps that is why it took me all morning. In the evening hubby and I went on a date...yes! a date. It was really fun.We went to Lone Star Steak House where we had never been before and then we walked around Bed, Bath and Beyond. It's amazing how just getting out alone with your husband can make you feel kind of young again.
Sunday was of course Divine Mercy Sunday and the Beatification of JPII. What a lovely day! We went to mass in the morning. In the afternoon Hubby and Gabe went back to church for the Divine Mercy service while I took a nap with the kids. We are fortunate that our Pastor loves Divine Mercy and has a service every year.
Some plans for the week...A furnace inspection and cleaning is the final thing before the closing day of our Condo on May 27. Apparently the buyers think it makes a bad smell when it is turned on and that the thermostat doesn't regulate the temperature. We will have to go today or tomorrow before the inspection and see for ourselves. I also want to buy some veggie plants and flowers to plant in our garden (maybe some day we will start them ourselves). I need to make a menu and buy groceries.
If I have extra time for myself ... I will read.
Some prayer intentions for this week... I pray that there is not too much wrong with the furnace and that the sale finally goes through.
Something that makes me smile...
This little guy all dressed up for Easter.
