Last Saturday was warm and Sunny, a far cry from the rainy, cold that is happening today. Last Saturday we went to the farmer's market where I bought two heirloom variety tomato plants (I'm still not exactly sure what heirloom means in this context but it sounds nice so I thought I'd give them a try.) We also stopped at the church plant sale where we picked up that big tomato plant, some Jalapeno pepper plants (That is what Hubby is watering in the above picture.) and some impatiens (those are the flowers.) If you look closely you can see that little girl with the garden hose has dirt on her face. Yes she was playing in the garden and her white shirt got dirty too.
We also had a wonderful lunch outside with ham sandwiches and pea soup left over from supper the night before. It was a really beautiful day.
