This Monday

This moment it is 2:41 in the afternoon and the littles are napping.  Gabe is at school and will be home a little before 4:00.  It is sunny and beautiful but I think the ground is still wet.  I need to plant the rest of my flowers and some cabbages that were given to us by Andy's parent's yesterday.
This weekend Friday Gabe went to bed early as he had stayed up until 3:00 in the morning two nights before finising homework and needed to catch up on his sleep.  Saturday Gabe and I went to confession and then picked up my brother to take him to our house and he hung out with us.  He helped Gabe clean his really messy room (dirty Kleenex everywhere, yuck!).  We all just basically spent the day at home.  Andy rescaulked the bathtub which needed it very badly, I sorted through a pile or two of papers on my desk and tried to keep the kitchen straightened.  That night we watched Rosselini's The Flowers of St. Francis.  The interviews of those commmenting on the director and the film were almost as interesting as the film itself.
Sunday we went to mass and then when to visit our folks an hour away.  I saw Dad in the nursing home.  He seemed a little bit out of it and said he had a sore on his butt (a bed sore?).  It made me think that I really need to write to my Dad every week or every other week as where he lives isn't the most pleasant of places.  Thank God my sister is in town and visits him at least once a week.  I also need to get him a new radio. The switch to get AM was broken on his and he really likes listening to talk shows.  The classical radio station also wasn't coming in very clearly.  I think he would really appreciate being able to listen to classical music too.  We left on a pleasant note as he seemed much happier and more comfortable after we helped move  him out of his wheel chair and into his bed.

Afterward we went to the farm to visit Andy's parents.  We stayed for about an hour and chatted a little bit before stopping at McDonald's for supper and heading home.
This week The closing on our condo is on Friday.  We still have to sign a few things and hand over some extra keys and we will be all set.  We have had that thing for too long and will be very happy to be rid of it and have only to pay the mortgage on our current home.

Prayer intentions For a successful sale of our condo, for my Dad.

Something that makes me smile...

I can't find my camera but if I could I would post a picture I took on Saturday of Clare and Gabe painting with water colors together.  I got the watercolors out for Clare and Gabe saw them and couldn't resist joining in.  It provided for at least an hour of together fun.
