This weekend... Friday night we went to stations of the cross at church. It made me think of how last year when went to the stations, Ephrem was still a nursing baby. Saturday I did some errands in the morning (I should have really gone to confession). I picked up a new chin rest for Gabe, picked up some things at Hobby Lobby for Clare's preschool projects (spent a lot of time browising), stopped by Burger King for a quick bite, Went to the Catholic book store to look for a Confirmation gift for Gabriel where I also ended up spending a lot of time browsing for his gift and little kid books for Easter baskets. I got home at about 2:00 to get ready for 4:00 mass where my husband served as alter server as a Knight of Columbus.
Sunday...hmmm. Not much. I made the minestrone soup that I never got around making for St. Joseph Day and we ended up taking some of it to the Latin Mass potluck where I ended up having a pretty good time talking with people.
Some plans for this week... I need to get groceries tonight, Gabe has a confirmation rehearsal tomorrow and a violin lesson on Wednesday. Thursday I want to go see a presentation by a local preist who is from Viet Nam and in between all that I want to practice and maybe have the little kids make cards for Gabe on his confirmation. I also need to think what to make to bring to the potluck afterwards.
If I find time for myself I want to... Do some Lenten spiritual reading: a little from the Gospels and St. Francis De Sales' Finding God's Will for You and just keep up with everything.
Prayer intentions for this week... I'm praying for Gabriel as he gets ready to be confirmed this coming Sunday. Praying for my brother and nephews that they have a good visit this week and for my nephew on his birthday.
Something that makes me smile...
Clare and Ephrem last summer.
