Blurbs for Friday

1.  Three year old Clare got sick and threw up last night and once this morning.  She lied on the couch pretty much all day and when she wasn't doing that she was busy not feeling well and being grouchy.  She slept a lot so I also got to sleep more than usual.

2.  We are having 40 days for life here but we are only doing it on Wednesdaysn and Fridays.  We are a relatively small town that actually supports two clinics.  So we are doing one clinc on Wednesday and one on Friday.  Unfortunately I think that they are having a hard time getting people to sign up even with just two days.  How sad!  I know it is scarry (esp. in front of the clinic that is right on the busy street) but come on people! Are we gonna stop this or what?!

3.  Speaking of Planned Parenthood, for Health Class the public high school has someone from Planned Parenthood come in and talk about the different kinds of contraception avaialable.  How sad that it has become so accepted by people in the community.  Yes, we live in a liberal college town. 

4.  When is the sun going to come out?  When is it going to warm up and become spring?  It really feels gloomy around here. 

5.  Some things I want to do this weekend:

• I'm hoping to finish organinzing my kitchen "office" shelves.
•  I want to get groceries for my St. Patrick and St. Joseph meals this week
• Finish up plans for individual and family Lenten activities/devotions
• Make appointment with new realtor

Lord, please bless our weekend.  Let us come closer to living our lives as you would have us live them and learn to love and trust one another so that we may come closer to living as the Holy Family in Nazareth.
