1. I am making whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread in my bread machine for the first time in a long time. Here is the recipe except I take out 2 tblsps of ww flour and replace with 2 tblsps of gluten flour. This will be breakfast tomorrow. Yum, Yum.
2. The little kids and I went for another Fall bike ride this evening while Gabe stayed home and baked the frozen pizza. We have to get out early in the evening if we want to make it back before it gets too dark. We rode to the fountain with a sculpture of four geese taking off out of the water. The kids got out and ran around the fountain and Dad rode out to meet us as a nice, but not totally unexpected, surprise. We rode out to that area yesterday but did not have time to stay and sit by the fountain very long so I thought it would be nice to go especially for that. It's fun and convenient to take the two little kids in the bike trailer so I hope to keep getting the bike out in the crisp, fall weather. I think they will both fit in the trailer again next year but after that--well we will have to get one of them riding their own bike.
3. It looks like hubby will not be working this weekend. Hooray!
4. Clare will be four on Wednesday. I need to get her a present this weekend among other things. I am also hoping to order Gabe's present online as his birthday is 2 weeks from Sunday and I want to buy supplies and get books from the library for our preschool lesson next week.
5. We have started doing lessons out of the Little Saints Preschool again this year. We started last winter and then faded out by spring but are starting anew. We do every other lesson and allow two weeks for each lesson. The most time consuming thing is looking up the book list online to see what books they have at the library and then going to the library to get the books off of the shelves. It can also be time consuming to make sure you have the right art supplies but sometimes I don't bother with the projects where I don't have certain materials. I good supply of colored construction paper is a good start. Since I don't have any older kids that I am homeschooling I feel I can afford to take the time to do all this and it gives us some goals and adds a little variety to our day. I try not to sweat it to much but there really are a lot of neat activities in the lessons.
6. Gabe thinks it would be neat to open a tea shop and sell good tea. He was sitting next to me researching tea and how to make it well a minute ago. Apparently in England the water should be boiling when you pour it over the tea.
7. Well time to go. We need to do our Friday Rosary. I bet hubby fell asleep putting the little ones to bed.
Have a great weekend! For more quick takes visit Jen at Conversion Diary
