{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}

Capturing the context of the contentment of everyday life.  Every Thursday at Like Mother, Like Daughter.

{Pretty}

This is a picture taken by my husband of a cardinal's nest.  This is the second time in the five years that we have been here that birds have built a nest just outside our patio door.  The first one was a house finch who built a nest in a hanging flower pot that didn't have flowers in it any more.  The mama cardinal many times leaves the nest when we are going in and out the door.  I don't know how she finds any peace.

{Happy}

This is a picture of the kids after they helped me make pizza crust.  I found that it was much easier having them with me in the kitchen when they were on the other side of the counter.  In this picture I was taking a moment and thinking what a nice moment this was to have all the kids happy and content in the kitchen with me.

{Funny}

When I was loading pictures on to my computer this morning I found many, many pictures that I didn't know had been taken.  Could it be that a certain three year old got a hold of my camera for a good amount of time unbeknown to her mother and took a rather odd assortment of pictures? These are only a sample.  It is actually interesting to see what a three year old can do with a camera.

{Real}

In case you couldn't guess, these notes are examples of me being annoyed at certain people for not putting things back where they belong.

  1. I always end up with nose-close-ups as well when my little ones get my camera.
