{Pretty}
On Sunday we went to my in-law's house to celebrate my Father-in-law's 84th birthday. Here is a picture of him opening up the door momentarily to do something or other. Kind of a pretty picture of
the yard.
{Happy}
On Tuesday I made a good supper with pork chops, beets from our humble garden and turnips that I had bought from the farmer's market weeks ago. It always makes me very happy when I am able to use up things that we have on hand . I used my standard pork chop recipe, made mandarin, citrus beet salad, corn on the cob, and tried a new recipe, beer braised turnips.
{Funny}
Ephrem enjoying his corn on the cob.

Here is the sewing machine I ordered off of ebay. I paid $75 plus $39 in shipping. It arrived a little bunged up. The spool stands were broken (which I understand can be easily replaced) and it seems the the bobbin winder doesn't work. I'm not sure if the bobbin winder not working was the result of damage from shipping or it just not working when he shipped it or I haven't figured out how to get it to work.
The worst part is that a manual was not sent with it as stated on the listing. I hope it was just an oversight on the sellers part and have contacted him. It seems to be in good shape otherwise, it just seems for the price the bobbin winder should not be broken and maybe it could have been packed better. Hoping I can have it tuned up and repaired for not too much.
