I wrote this last Monday but haven't gotten around to posting it until today.
I hardly have time to read blogs or write on this one anymore. Why should that be so? I probably waste too much time on the trivial when I could be doing something that would be more important to my self-fulfillment. So here is a list of thanks for being busy; busying myself with children, husband, supper, paying bills. A thankful list of "never having enough time" to plan homeschooling, to write on my blog, to practice music, to clean all those places in the house that really, really need cleaning.
I am grateful for:
busily preparing a roast for the crock pot in the mornings while at the same time having to attend to fighting preschoolers. {140}
putting off turning on the t.v. to distract them and then finally giving in so I can get my roast in the crock pot.{141}
making a plan (or at least thinking of making a plan) of those things my teenager needs to get in the habit of doing to help around the house.{142}
mailed homeschool paperwork that got returned, meaning that I will have to take it there myself as the deadline is Friday. (Whatever gets you out of the house, right?){143}
being able to ask my husband to take the paperwork before work or during lunch hour. (It's worth a try.){144}
brothers who come over for the day and play with their niece and nephews.{145}
legos strewn over the floor and preschoolers that are learning (although reluctantly at times) to clean up after themselves.{146}
longer days which make for more time to get out for a walk in the crisp air before it gets dark.{147}
the fact that there is not a tremendous amount of ice on the sidewalks so far this winter.{148}
husbands that come home late from work because they are responsible enough to be able to hold down a job. {149}
the opportunity to look on the bright side of things with Multitudes on Monday hosted by Ann. {150}
