Today it snowed. School was canceled so Gabe didn't need to go to his classes. After four weeks in what might be called survival mode with our new baby in the house I was happy that I finally let the kids get out the paints as Clare had been asking for the last week. It was very relaxing having Gabe home all day and see him participate in the art of the day. We were also able to get some reading done in church history. (Not much else though. We are not very good at homeschooling.) My brother was here as well. He and Gabe shoveled the driveway this morning. It was nice to have the extra help as there was a lot of snow and Andy is not supposed to wait another month and a half to recover more fully from his back surgery before he resumes full activity. Lots of good moments today.

Gabe found some charcoal that we've had lying around and got into the art kick too.

Gabe's drawing. I love it.

Hooray! They are playing outside and there is snow in the yard instead of sloppy puddles from all the rain the past few days.
