Monday Musings

This weekend...

I got my yearly hair cut.  I don't mean to wait a whole year each time I get my hair cut but it always seems to turn out that way.  Andy and Gabe went to confession when I got back and we went to the Saturday evening mass because I had a rehearsal on Sunday.  Saturday night Ephrem didn't feel like eating much supper and that night he just started crying and crying and pointing to the back of his neck saying that it hurt.  It was concerning but I ended up lying him down in our bed and he got comfortable and faded off to sleep.  We put him in his bed where he slept until he came back into our room with a fever.  He felt very warm.  I gave him tylenol and his fever was gone in the morning.

Also on Sunday, I was able to get Gabe's homeschool assignment done for the week  before I went to rehearsal so I didn't have to stay up late last night getting it done.  So grateful for that.

Last night after rehearsal Andy made pot roast for supper.  We didn't watch the Super Bowl like we have done in the past which was probably a good thing as we didn't get sidetracked from our duties.  Andy and Gabe said a rosary together and since the kids were still messing around and not going to sleep I sat in their room and read the evening office out loud to them.  They were asleep by the time I was done.

Some plans for the week... Well I need to make my biweekly grocery trip, but before that I need to make my grocery list today.  Rehearsals Wednesday and Friday.  Concerts this weekend.  Hope to do some preschool stuff with the little kids.

Prayer intentions for this week... For safety in driving to rehearsals and concerts.  That our homeschooling may bring us closer to God and be a good start for the children's journey with the Lord.  That God turns back our country on the right course.  For the bishops to stand strong.

Something that makes me smile...

This guy with his new hair cut.  This is the first time I have used the buzzers to cut hair.
